BUNJURGEN Estate Vineyard is set to host its first food and wine festival this weekend to celebrate Scenic Rim producers.
La Bunjurga festival will be held at the vineyard, located 10 kilometres from Boonah, on Sunday from 10am until 3pm.
Owner David McMaugh said the event would celebrate the region’s food, wine, art and music and expected about 800 people to attend.
“Guests will enjoy a very relaxed, country day in the vineyards and they will have the opportunity to meet producers of the Scenic Rim,” he said.
“Many businesses, groups and schools like Darlington State School will be out selling food, wine and artwork for everyone to enjoy.”
There will be more than 20 stalls selling produce such as olives, cheeses, beef and country style jams.
Entertainment will include a local jazz singer, a jazz band and a spanish guitarist.
Boonah Art Society artists such as Robyn Christoffel and Peter Van Der Veen, will also exhibit their work.
