For three nights only, crowds were wowed at Canterbury College with this year’s musical production of The Sound of Music.

More than 200 students from kindergarten to year 12 played a part in the production whether that was onstage or behind the scenes and even in the student orchestra.

Director of the Arts Academy Janet Wyvill said she had received flawless reviews from community members and parents of students.
“I am just so very proud of these students,” she said.
“With just 13 weeks of rehearsals, it was fantastic and it was certainly all pulled together by the end.
“We have students of such high calibre.”
Ms Wyvill said there was talk of a junior musical in the works for next year.
“We normally run our musicals on a two year cycle,” she said.
