Rotation or combinations? That's the question ACT Brumbies coach Stephen Larkham had to answer this week after breaking a six-week winning drought to revive the club's Super Rugby hopes.
In the end Larkham decided to stick with a winning formula for the first time this year, keeping his game-day squad together for a clash against the Argentina Jaguares in Buenos Aires.
Tom Banks and Aidan Toua will continue their fullback-wing partnership after both scored crucial tries against the Southern Kings in South Africa last weekend.
Rookie Andrew Muirhead keeps his place on the bench after making his debut last weekend while prop Ben Alexander will equal George Smith's record as the most capped player in Brumbies history.
Larkham has adopted a rotation policy this season in a bid to keep players fresh and ensure everyone in the extended squad was motivated to compete for selection.
He has constantly tinkered with his line-up, including rotating skipper Sam Carter and Wallabies flanker Scott Fardy.
???But the second leg of a 34,000 kilometre journey around the world has convinced Larkham to give combinations a chance to flourish against the Jaguares.
The Brumbies are still at the top of the Australian conference but need to beat the Jaguares to keep their lead and edge closer to a guaranteed finals berth.
Larkham warned against complacency for the club's first match in Argentina, despite the Jaguares struggling to find consistency in the competition.
The Brumbies have lost six games by seven points or less, but Larkham said toppling the Kings had given the squad an injection of confidence.
"I like combinations and you've got to be careful of which combinations you change," Larkham said.
"But you also have to be making sure you've got enough energy in the game, whether that means bringing reserves on earlier or what it is. But those are the crucial things.
"The good aspect out of last week was that the guys never lost their composure or confidence so those are the good signs you look for."
Wallabies selection hopes will also go on the line on Sunday morning in the last chance to impress before Test coach Michael Cheika picks his squad for a mid-year international window.
The Brumbies desperately want to beat the Jaguares after breaking through for their first win against an international opponent this season.
The players were shattered after several tight defeats, but prop Allan Alaalatoa says they can carry the winning feeling into a battle in Buenos Aires.
"It's very important for us to come out strong because we know we lost four in a row and we're in a tight conference," Alaalatoa said.
"It has really helped being on tour because you're away from all of that noise happening in Australian rugby at the moment.
"There's probably a better vibe with the boys just being together so I think the boys are benefiting being on the road at this crucial period of the season.
"We missed a few opportunities against the Kings and we've obviously looked at that, so we'll be looking to take advantage of those if we get the same chances this weekend."
