The AFL says there is no specific terror threat at matches this weekend, with security to remain tight.
Matches at Simonds Stadium in Geelong, the MCG and Etihad Stadium will progress as planned, although it's understood there is likely to be an increased police presence.
AFL spokesman Patrick Keane said the league had been in contact with security chiefs in wake of the bombing in Manchester.
"The AFL security team has worked closely with relevant authorities over the last 24 hours. At this stage, law enforcement agencies have told us there is nothing to suggest there is any specific threat to any of our matches across this weekend," he said on Wednesday.
"Our security team has regular conversations and planning with appropriate security agencies."
There is already is a check of bags and wanding of patrons while cars are checked entering the underground carpark at Etihad Stadium.
Etihad Stadium spokesman Bill Lane said security remained a "critical focus" of all events at the venue. He said stadium chiefs had been in contact with Victoria Police and Federal authorities.
MCG chiefs are also in regular contact with police and security authorities.
While the terror threat level hasn't changed, Victoria Police has promised a visible presence at events this weekend.
