An exclusive flood aid concert will be heading for Logan Village next month.
The concert boasts the likes of our own The Voice star Ruby Jo, John Williamson, James Blundell and the Flood Aid Rock Legends band which includes Buzz Bidstrup (The Angels, Gangajang), Mark Evans (AC/DC), Kevin Borich (The Party Boys) and Tyrone Noonan (George).
The event is expected to raise up to $75,000 for flood victims with all the profits from gate, food and bar being donated.
Division 4 councillor Laurie Koranski and member for Logan Linus Power will chair the distribution of funds through various charities to help families directly affected by the floods as well as the emergency service organisations.
The outdoor concert will take place at Logan Village Hotel on June 4 from 2pm to 9pm.
Logan Village Rural Fire Brigade first officer Simone Hague said it was great to see local reinvestment in the community.
“You can count on our community to rally together,” she said.
Performer Buzz Bidstrup said the flood aid band will be featuring music from their collective careers plus a couple of surprises.
“So we urge you to come along and support this very worthy cause to raise funds for those who have lost everything except hope,” he said.
Fellow performer James Blundell said he was looking forward to performing for all the incredible community service groups and residents affected by the recent flooding of the Logan River and surrounds
“Getting together to let off some steam and say thanks is a great idea, see you there, bring your party shoes and a designated driver,” he said.
Tickets are available from oztix.com.au for $39.95, children under 12 $10.
If available remaining tickets will be $50 at the gate and children under 12 $10.
500 free tickets for the flood affected and emergency services workers will be distributed by representatives of emergency services organisations and The Logan Village Hotel.
