Emmaus College students have raised more than $25,000 for new shade structures by taking part in the EC Mudder on May 12.
The mudder was based on the form of Tough Mudder, an obstacle course through mud pits, and was combined with a colour run.
It was set up on the school ovals for all the students to take part in for the afternoon.
Students gained sponsors prior to the event to raise funds for the P&F Association’s shade initiative.
P&F president Raelene Lawler said she thought it was time to move past the annual fete day in order to raise the $60,000 needed for the shade structure fund.
“This day has been excellent,” she said.
“It’s so good to see the students go through the course and just enjoy their afternoon out here.”
