WHO would have thought helping those with cancer could be as easy as enjoying a cuppa?
More than $2.6 million is expected to be raised as part of this year’s Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea.
While the official date for the nationwide fundraiser is May 25, Cancer Council Queensland spokesperson Katie Clift said the morning teas could be hosted any time between now and the end of June.
“Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea is an opportunity to gather your friends and loved ones together to raise vital funds to ensure Cancer Council can continue its vital work, including support for those affected by cancer,” she said.
While those hosting an event must first register with Cancer Council Queensland, details for community morning teas in the greater Jimboomba region can be listed on Jimboomba Times’ Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea – south-east Queensland interactive map.
To have your Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea publicised by Jimboomba Times, email your upcoming event when, where, what, entry cost and RSVP details, along with your contact number, to georgina.bayly@fairfaxmedia.com.au.
After your morning tea, up to three photos of your event can also be submitted. Be sure to include first and last names of those pictured.
