LOCAL performer Ruby Jo of Chambers Flat has announced on her Facebook page that she’s soon to face the music on reality talent show The Voice, following a path pioneered by other gifted singers who hale from this region.
Although the episode including her blind audition in front of the celebrity coaches is not yet scheduled, Ruby recently posted a message to her fans.
“Hello everyone! Just wanted to say a massive thankyou for all the messages of love and support after I announced my involvement in @thevoiceau… I will be sure to post the date as soon as I find out over the next few weeks.”
Singer Dami Im, a one-time resident of the Logan region, took out top honours in The X-Factor Australia in 2013, and her career grows from strength-to-strength in the wake of taking second place in the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest 2016.
Jimboomba’s Kim Sheehy broke through the blind auditions on The Voice, also in 2016.
