HUNDREDS of Ahmadi Muslims, many of whom attend the Baitul-Al-Masroor Mosque in Stockleigh, took part in an Anzac Day dawn service at Sunnybank RSL joining fellow Ahamdi muslims all over the country to reflect upon the sacrifices made by our servicemen and women and those who continue to serve the nation.
The national president of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Australia Mr. I. H. Kauser said Anzac Day was always an important one on the community’s calendar.
“Anzac (Day) is one of those significant days that bring our nation together to reflect upon the great sacrifices our servicemen and women made to protect us and our country,” he said.
“It is a day of great importance and a day when we as a nation should reiterate our pledge of loyalty and service to the county in war and peace.
“It is a day that gives us a message that we as a nation must unite and honour those who sacrifice their lives for us all.”
The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community is the leading Islamic organisation to categorically reject terrorism in any form.
The community is also the only Islamic organisation to endorse a separation of mosque and state.
The Ahmadi community places great importance on teaching its members to become loyal citizens of Australia according to Imam Kauser.
“Members of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Australia always pledge their loyalties to their homeland; Australia, and we are always ready to sacrifice our life, our wealth, our time and our honour for the sake of our country,” he said.
“Its members are among the most law-abiding, educated, and engaged Muslims in the world.
“I encourage all Australian Muslims to join in the commemorations of the event and reflect on the sacrifices and services of our men and women who work day in and day out to protect us and to keep us safe.”
