This Saturday the Jimboomba United Football Club under 10s Cobras played at home in Jimboomba against the under 10s Pythons.
The Cobras played an outstanding game displaying an enormous amount of teamwork and achieved a convincing win.
Chase Crawford started as goalkeeper on the first half and made several great saves, he was assisted by Cobras defenders Adrian Monge, Riley Gooding, Shylah Prema and Toby Ross, all of whom did not let the Pythons pass their defensive line despite several attempts.
Liam Walsh and Lucas de Ruyter led the attack for the Cobras, assisted constantly by Xavier Stamatopoulos and Elle Prema.
The first Cobras’ goal came in the 10th minute when a shot on goal from Tate Moseley was blocked by the Pythons’ goalkeeper and Liam W got to the deflection and scored the first goal of the game.
Tyler Hodge, Lochlan Schloss and Liam McGregor all provided valuable support to the Cobras midfield line, making excellent passes and assisting in the attacks.
Liam W scored his second goal in the 17 minute, Lucas scored in the 18th minute, Tate in the 20th minute and Liam W scored his hat-trick goal in the 25th minute.
The Pythons managed to score a goal at the 22 minute mark, thus leaving the scored 5-1 at the end of the first half.
For the second half, Riley Gooding came in as the new goalkeeper for the Cobras and he did some excellent work, stopping the Pythons from scoring.
Adrian Monge also did a great job in the defence when he saved and cleared a ball from the goal-line securing the Cobras goal advantage.
The second half remained goalless until the 18th minute when a number of passes between Elle and Lochlan confused the Pythons defenders and Lucas managed to score his second goal, putting the score 6-1.
Two minutes later an attack from Chase Crawford and Liam McGregor allowed Tate to score again.
The Cobras kept the pressure and Tate managed to score his hat-trick goal in the 22nd minute.
The Cobras did not stop their attacks and Lucas also scored a hat-trick just before the final whistle.
The final score was 9-1, a great victory for the Cobras.
