The Bureau of Meteorology has issued flood warnings for the Logan River catchment covering areas from Wyaralong Dam to Logan City.
Significant river level rises and flooding are expected during Thursday and into Friday in the Logan and Albert River catchments.
Widespread rainfall totals of 60-140mm have been recorded over the last 12 hours across the Logan and Albert River catchments.
Heavy rainfall is expected to continue during Thursday, with a further 150-250mm likely, locally in excess of 300mm.
Logan River to Yarrahappini:
Fast rises above minor flood levels are expected on the Logan River and Teviot Brook, with moderate to major flood levels possible.
Logan River downstream of Yarrahappini:
Fast rises above minor flood levels are expected on the Logan River, with moderate to major flood levels possible.
Albert River:
Fast rises above minor flood levels are expected on the Albert River, with moderate to major flood levels possible.
