Roads and homes throughout Logan are being impacted by heavy rain this morning.
The severe weather travelling southbound from ex-tropical Cyclone Debbie is set to bring between 200mm and 400mm of rain and strong winds, up to 90km/h, throughout the greater Logan area on Thursday.
Police are advising motorists to stay home and keep off the roads.
The Mount Lindesay Highway was closed at 9.15am in Jimboomba after a truck crash at Millstream Road.
It is not known how long the road will be closed.
Police said flooding is affecting Millstream Road.
Council crews have placed signage on Tully Road in Greenbank and Kurrajong Road in Jimboomba due to water across the roads.
At 11am water can be seen over the road at Schmidt’s Creek, Schmidt’s Road, Logan Reserve and Henderson Creek, Cusack Lane, Jimboomba through the Logan City Council flood and traffic cameras.

Residents can access sandbags at SES depots – Daisy Hill (26-36 Winnetts Rd) and Logan Village (1464 Waterford-Tamborine Rd) and at Logan City Council's Marsden Depot (181 Chambers Flat Rd, Marsden).
A council spokesperson said sandbags will be available from the Munruben depot and Eagleby Community Centre (8-16 Cowper Avenue, Eagleby) from 10.30am Thursday.
People coming to Munruben will be expected to fill sandbags themselves.
Sandbags will be limited to 15 per person and motorists are warned traffic will be congested around these sites.
Schools across the South East Queensland are closed for the day.
Logan City Council advises reserves and trails have been closed.
These include:
- Neville Lawrie Reserve, Daisy Hill
- Cornubia Forest Park, Cornubia
- Kimberley Forest Park, Shailer Park
- Springwood Conservation Park, Springwood
- Spring Mountain Reserve and associated trail networks through Parrot Reserve, Lyndale Reserve and Thornbill Reserve, Greenbank
- Spring Mountain Forest Park, Greenbank
- Birnam Range Reserve, Jimboomba
- Underwood Park, Underwood
Queensland Fire and Emergency Services advises that people should:
* Move your car under cover or away from trees.
* Secure loose outdoor items.
* Seek shelter, preferably indoors and never under trees.
* Beware of fallen trees and powerlines.
* Never drive, walk or ride through flood waters. If it's flooded, forget it.
* Keep clear of creeks and storm drains.
Council advises residents to head to disaster.logan.qld.gov.au for updates through the area.
