Students at Flagstone State Community College have pledged to make 1000 stars as part of the One Million Stars to End Violence campaign.
Each star woven represents the school's commitment towards a bullying and violence free environment.
The project needs individuals, groups and communities to join in the conversation of ending violence across the world and to weave one million stars by July 2017.
These stars will then be featured in an installation at the 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games.
Students used the opportunity of the National Day of Action against Bullying and Violence to further awareness for the stars project and take build on the anti-bullying message.
Principal Jude Fox said Flagstone State Community College run programs throughout each year to reinforce a strong anti-bullying message, including Brainstorm’s Sticks and Stones and The Hurting Game.
“These complement the messages of the You Can Do It program in form class, the weekly Flagstone Focus and the HPE curriculum,” she said.
