The under 15 girls played Aspley at home today, after a great start they ran away with a comfortable win 81 to one.
In hot conditions they worked hard all day and worked well as a team and got good numbers around the ball.
There was shows 12 goals scored by seven players, with Chloe Ackland kicking 4, Phoebe Balmforth and Kalister-Jane 2, and one each to captain Aleisha Alford, Marni Balmforth, Naomi Ginn, and Jayla Hargreaves who kicked her first in an under 15s match. Stand outs were Larni Milne, Haylee Milne, Paris Slater and Josii Hargreaves. But all players played their roles well according to the team’s game plan.
They are a very exciting team to watch and really enjoy their footy. The 15s play next week at home against Jindalee at 10.30am before a two week break over Easter.
Under 13s
The week the Jimboomba Redbacks under 13s girls played their first home game against Sandgate Vultures and welcomed to two new players in Mariska and Summer. Though they fought hard all game they were beaten 84 to 6 in trying conditions.
The Vultures had a full bench and they handled the heat a lot better than the Redbacks. To their credit, the girls kept on fighting.
Best players were Ashleigh, Grace and Phoebe. The next game is against Wilston-Grange at Stafford at 9am next Sunday.
