There is a new face helping to fine tune the games of tennis players at Jimboomba Tennis Club.
Bringing over two decades of experience to the role of coach, Brett Day joined the club on Henderson Road earlier this year and has been impressed with the level of talent he has seen already.
“There is some talent there definitely, there is a good bunch of kids, and very good bunch,” he said.
“Phoenix Cairns he’s 16, he is doing very well, he’s already won a tournament this year and he has a a number of other tournaments coming up.
“He hits the ball very strong and he moves well, with him it’s just a mater of making him a little bit more consistent and also working on constructing his points a little bit better.
Currently offering coaching at Jimboomba Tennis Club on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays Day offers a range of different programs including group and one on one sessions.
Day who joined the club officially in January and who also coaches at Kooralbyn International School brings a wealth of knowledge to budding tennis players.
“I’ve been coaching since I was 23, so for about 27 years but Ive had a couple of small breaks here and there,” he said.
