Many who seek enlightenment are drawn to the furthermost corners of the planet. For Margaret Olley, the quest ended at her living room.
In this domestic space, famously chockers with bowls, vases and homely ornamentation, myriad painting possibilities existed. From her first solo exhibition in 1948 to her last work, completed the day before she died in 2011, Olley's creative vision rarely roamed from the beloved still-life arrangements within her Paddington home.
