Rotary Park, Jimboomba was transformed into food truck central on February 24 for the Eats and Beats festival.
Thousands of local residents and visitors headed out for a family friendly and relaxing evening with food and music.
Sliders, skewers, wings, potatoes, dim sims, smores, waffles and ice cream were just some of offerings available from more than 30 food trucks.
Performances by Hannah Lonergan, Josh Lovegrove, Nicole Brophy and The Lyrical created a carefree vibe throughout the park.
Children flocked to the kids zone to practice their circus skills such as diablo, hula hooping and stilt walking.
Division 11 Councillor Trevina Schwarz said she was excited to see so many people coming together for Eats and Beats.
“We get a great following here in Jimboomba for Eats and Beats,” she said.
“It’s really important that the families come together in the great outdoors and where better than Rotary Park.
“There’s no where else in the world like Jimboomba and there is nothing better.”
Cedar Grove resident Peter Grey said he enjoyed the festival and what it brought out in the Jimboomba community.
“The more we do this kind of thing in the community the better,” he said.
March’s Eats and Beats event will be held in a surprise venue to celebrate its second birthday.
