Man faces weapons charges
A Jimboomba man was charged with unlawful possession of a category H weapon and possessing a shortened firearm on February 25.
The 47-year-old was also charged with receiving tainted property, authority required to possess explosives, unlawful use of a motor vehicle and unlicenced driving.
Police conducted a search of the man, and the vehicle he was sitting in, where they found a firearm, ammunition and other property. Additional inquiries established the vehicle was allegedly stolen.
The man was set to appear in Beenleigh Magistrates Court on February 27.
