Two years of love and painstaking dedication paid off for a mum and daughter on August 18.
Shaan and Rhondda Colclough completed a scene from Vietnam and unfurled it at the Logan Village RSL on the 50th anniversary of the battle of Long Tan.
Terry Flanagan of Logan village RSL said it would hold pride of place for all future commemorations.
“The ladies painted the scene on a large piece of white vinyl – an awesome task - with eyelets in each corner so that the scene may be taken down and stored safely in a cylindrical container for future use,” he said.
The two were congratulated at the ceremony and thanked for their huge efforts by the assembled members.
