AFTER a marathon campaign, the final round of voting for the 2016 federal election is open across 60 polling locations in the Wright electorate.
Voting will continue at polling locations until 6pm, after which counting will get underway to determine who will be the sitting member for Wright in the Australian Parliament.
Wright is considered a safe seat for the Coalition with incumbent candidate Scott Buchholz, who has held the seat since 2010, winning the 2013 election in a landslide with 61 per cent of the votes on a two party preferred basis.
The candidates challenging Mr Buchholz for the seat this election are Pietro Agnoletto from the Greens, Allistair Smith from Labor, Barry Austin from Family, Rod Smith from Pauline Hansen’s One Nation, John Cox from Mature Australia Party and Mark Stone from the Liberal Democratic Party.
