More than 1200 of Queensland’s most talented male and female gymnasts from 40 clubs across the State competed at the Queensland State Club Championship held in Caloundra on the Sunshine Coast, including Jimboomba’s Jimboomba Gymnastics Club.
The teams based event ran over five days attracting more than 3000 people to the region.
Jimboomba Gymnastics Club was among the clubs competing with competitors entered into the WAG (Womens Artistic Gymnastics) and MAG (Mens Artistics Gymnastics) stream.
Among the highlights were Jimboomba’s MAG level 3 team, who placed an impressive fifth place on the floor apparatus.
Men’s Artistics Gymnastics head coach, Paige Neal was thrilled with the team’s efforts.
“I was very proud of the boys for their performance and especially for the great team spirit they showed on the day. These young boys have worked hard though their training and they have now been awarded accordingly,” she said.
