Miss Diamond Australia contestant Louise Davis is fulfilling pageant commitments by fundraising for local charity Chicks Conquering Cancer.
Louise has been fundraising for several months and will be keeping up the good work until her pageant finals on April 2.
“I’m currently representing as a Miss Jimboomba,” she said.
“I really wanted to reach $5000 as my fundraising goal, but so far I have raised $1300.
“This has been my first pageant and I just love it, I really love the fundraising and meeting heaps of people.
“Helping (Chicks Conquering Cancer) is something that is close to me as cancer has affected close friends and family.
“They were the first charity I thought of and I thought it would be good to help and get on board with them.”
Chicks Conquering Cancer President Kathy Smith said the group is grateful for the support.
“All the funds being raised are helping local families,’ she said.
“The Castle Rumble photo shoot funds will be helping out member Kellie Wright.
“it has been lovely to have some different fundraisers for the group.”
Louise has helped out with a high tea fundraiser, as well as the Christmas hamper raffles.
Currently she is organising to hold a stall the the Logan country chamber of commerce fair and to host a photo shoot day at Castle Rumble.
The photo shoot day on March 5 is going to be $30 entry with several photographers and models having the spots booked.
Louise hopes the day to have a medieval, rockabilly twist vibe with the ability to have great themed modeling photos taken.
