The Jimboomba Times celebrated last week as the Times Facebook page hit 5000 likes.
The editorial staff at the Times have enjoyed bringing the stories that matter to the community of the wider Jimboomba area via social media and look forward to continue doing so into the future.
The Times Facebook page has grown by 3000 likes in under a year since the staff last celebrated 2000 likes in February of last year.
Australian Community Media Qld/NT group digital journalist Melody Labinsky said it was a great reflection of the team's hard work to boost community engagement online.
"It's been an exciting 12 months for the Jimboomba Times team as we move to increase regular uploading and sharing of content on Facebook and our website," she said.
"Cracking 5000 likes on Facebook is a milestone worth celebrating; it's a great reminder that when readers choose to 'like' us, we are on the right track in providing news that is relevant to Jimboomba and surrounding communities."
