BACKED UP: Cars are being forced to turn south down Brisbane Street in Jimboomba with Cusack Lane closed for the Eats and Beats street festival.
IT was a nightmare morning for traffic in Jimboomba on Friday as preparation for the popular Eats and Beats street festival got under way.
Part of Brisbane Street were closed from 6am on Friday, along with part of Cusack Lane, as council crews set up for the food and music festival.
The closures caught many motorists out, forcing them to use local shopping centres to make u-turns and find another way through to their destination.
The road closures will remain in place until 11.30pm.
Eats and Beats kicks off on Cusack Lane from 5pm.
