LOGAN Village Museum is getting into the Christmas spirit this year by hosting its inaugural Christmas carols event on Saturday, December 5.
The event will kick off at 4pm and carols will be led by the Singing Scotsman, local man Sam Hunter.
People attending the free event are required to bring their own food, drinks, blankets and chairs and are welcomed to enjoy a picnic while listening to the carolers.
Santa will be on hand to meet children, with photo opportunities available.
Museum secretary Coralyn Cowin is hoping to bring the Logan Village community together for the carols event.
“Just to come and enjoy the carols and there will be plenty of shade under trees for people to sit,” she said.
“We are trying to get into the community spirit of things and we would like to give back to the community by hosting the carols.”
She said the museum committee wanted to keep the carols simple to keep it affordable for families.
“There is a lot of families around and money is short, so we thought it would be a nice free event,” Ms Cowin said.
The event will be at the Village Green on Wharf Street, Logan Village.
