MUNRUBEN's own V8 supercar driver Chaz Mostert will be back on home ground this weekend to continue his prowess through the 2015 V8 Supercars series.
Mostert will race his Ford Falcon FG X at the Coates Hire Ipswich Supersprint series, from July 31 to August 2, at the Queensland Raceway.
Mostert is currently sitting in fifth place in this year's V8 Supercars series and is knocking on the door of a top three finish by season's end.
He said maintaining his top five spot was this season's goal.
"I want to finish top five this year and at the end of the day if I can crack the top three I'll be ecstatic," he said.
"At the start of the year we were up and down a little bit but we are really starting to hit our straps now, we are sitting in fifth at present and the only race we didn't podium at recently was Townsville."
Mostert, who is based in Melbourne with his Pepsi Max team, said coming home to race in Queensland was always a thrill.
"Anytime you get to race you want to win but the Queensland tracks are a bit of a home ground for me so I'm always excited to race them," he said.
The burgeoning V8 star, who still counts last year's Bathurst win as his career highlight, said he does his best to get home to Munruben regularly.
"I've got family still from there so I do try to get back when I can but it can be a bit tricky with the racing schedule," he said.
