THE Rockin' Jimmy's car show experienced a massive jump in popularity on Saturday with both car lovers and the general public.
Hundreds of people attended the event in East Street Jimboomba to feast their eyes on classic cars and mean machines of all varieties, as well as enjoy rock 'n' roll culture and rockabilly fashion.
Organising committee member Stacey Withers said organisers were overwhelmed with the response from car enthusiasts.
"We have got about 100 registered cars so we more than doubled our number of entries from last year," she said.
"It was dark when they started arriving."
"For the space we allowed we are pretty much full which is really good."
Ms Withers said the organising committee was thrilled with the level of support from the public.
"It's our second year running so it has definitely grown a few legs for us," she said.
"Obviously with any event there is learning's and lessons you can take away to try and improve the event and make next year bigger and better, but we are very happy with the turnout."
Among the most popular vehicles at the show was a replica Lightning McQueen from the Disney film Cars, as well as Monster, a 1930 De Haviland Rapide Special which featured an airplane engine.
The event which raises money for the Jimboomba Anglican Parish also featured musical performances and a Rockabilly Fashion Parade hosted by Cedar Grove woman Kate 'Miss Kitten Darling' Mulcahy.
