MORE than $500 was raised for the Cancer Council at an Australia's Biggest Morning Tea event at Jimboomba's Rotary Park on Saturday.
About 40 people made their cup count at the morning tea, which was organised by Cedar Vale woman Cassandra Underwood and her friend Barbara Lohrey of North Maclean.
Ms Underwood, who was inspired to stage the event after losing her sister Rowena to a rare form of cancer in 2014, said she was thrilled with the outcome.
"The morning tea was a great success," she said.
"We had fantastic community support and we shared our stories of our loved ones who have been affected by cancer.
"We had support from some of our local businesses, and a few happy winners of our raffles."
