The renowned musical tells the story of the vast cultural divide that existed between two lands, Britain and Siam, in the mid 1800s.
British schoolteacher Anna is hired by the king to teach his many children about the world and in doing so, modernise his country.
As the relationship between the pair develops, there are plenty of humorous and touching moments as they learn about one another.
Katie Glass, 17, will play Anna while Nicholas Bayer, 16, will be the King of Siam.
The students said while nervous to be taking on such famous characters, they were thrilled to have the chance to do so.
"I love it, it's a great story, there are lots of funny things the king says," Katie said.
"We are really looking forward to performing it."
In a show of true dedication to his role, Nicholas will be shave his head to become the famously bald king.
"I hope we can make the audience happy," he said.
The musical will be directed by school creative arts director Colin Elvery.
It will be performed at the Kingston Butter Factory on June 18 and 19.
