WOODHILL State School will host a Teddy Bear's picnic on Sunday May 24 in aid of the Cancer Council.
The picnic is being organised by Jimboomba Relay for Life team The Wedding Singers, with money raised going towards its 2015 fundraising total.
Team member Jocelynne Berry-Sheppard encouraged people to make a day of it.
"It's going to be fun we will have lots of activities for the kids to do and it will be a great family day which helps a great cause," she said.
"It gives the kids a chance to be a part of the fundraising efforts."
Ms Berry-Sheppard said The Wedding Singers team was aiming to beat its total from last year's Relay For Life event.
"Last year our goal was $1500 but we raised about $1700, our goal will be the same this year but we're hoping to smash that," she said.
"It's a cause that is close to our hearts for personal reasons."
The Jimboomba Relay For Life will take place in October.
The picnic will run from 10am until noon, and cost $2 to register a teddy bear.
