JIMBOOMBA Redbacks player Dylan Brisbane will head to the AFL school state titles at Toowoomba in June.
Dylan was picked in the president's side to play at the state titles after solid performances for the Pacific Rim side at the South Coast trials at Broadbeach Cats ground last Tuesday.
The president's side is made of players from numerous regions helping smaller outlying areas such as Mt Isa to have players compete at the titles.
Players in the side have just as much chance of being selected to represent Queensland as any other team in the competition.
Dylan will also be first reserve for the South Coast team at the titles and will be called upon to play for that side should he be required.
Dylan said he was looking forward to battling the state's best 12-year-old AFL players come June.
"It was a good surprise to get picked, I'm really looking forward to playing," he said.
"I'm planning a bit of extra training before I go."
Dylan is one of four from the South Coast region to suit up for the president's side and the only player from the Pacific Rim selected.
Dylan is the second Jimboomba Redbacks player from the 2014 under 12s team to be selected to compete at the state titles with John Baker selected in the South Coast team last year.
Dylan's mother Rebecca Lisyak said her son's club team have been a factor in his selection.
"Without the support of the Redbacks he wouldn't be where he is, their support has been great," she said.
Dylan will travel to Toowoomba for training with his team mates on June 3, and play in the titles from June 4 to June 8.
