A 73-YEAR-OLD man died in a three car crash at the intersection of the Mount Lindesay Highway and Camp Cable Road in Jimboomba on Wednesday night.
Emergency services arrived on the scene about 6.15pm.
Queensland Ambulance Service officers performed CPR on the 73-year-old at the scene but could not revive him.
A 43-year-old man was also injured in the crash and taken to Logan Hospital.
Jimboomba Police Senior Sergeant Peter Waugh said the accident occurred when the Logan Village man was turning his Ford ute right into Camp Cable Road.
He said it appeared as though the ute had driven into the path of a Toyota Landcruiser, which was travelling southbound on the highway.
The Toyota then pushed the ute into a Great Wall four-wheel-drive that was waiting to turn left onto the highway.
The intersection was closed until 10pm while the crash scene was cleared.
Police investigations are continuing.
