PARK Ridge State School's leaders say they will focus on enhancing the harmonious environment at the school this year.
Captains Charlotte Lee and Lachie Nelson said they were excited about working with vice-captains Jada Joseph and Wade Cantrill and six other student council leaders.
"Our main focus is harmony and so we have started Project Harmony," Charlotte said.
"We will be trying to help kids find friends and stop kids feeling sad at lunch breaks," Wade said.
The school celebrated Harmony Day last Friday, with the student leaders using the day to launch their project.
"We will be introducing ourselves and talking about bystanders, who are the people that witness bullying, and telling them how they can react and what they should do, like befriending the victim and telling someone about the bullying," Lachie said.
"Anti-bullying has always been a big part of our school and because it is the harmony school we want to try and make it as harmonious as we can."
