CEDAR Vale photographer Amanda Laverty never imagined one of her images would be on display for thousands of passing motorists every day.
Hers is among selected photos from the Hidden Gems photo competition which now feature on banners flying across the city, including on Jimboomba's Cusack Lane.
Ms Laverty's image depicts her two children, Casey, 10, and Kyle, 13, photographed from behind at the Hills College Twilight Markets.
"Kids often sit and watch the world go by and just absorb everything," she said.
"That's what I wanted to capture and I think I've succeeded."
Always a passionate photographer, Ms Laverty has recently turned her hobby into a profession, selling stock images and taking family portraits.
She said she was excited to see one of her photos feature on Cusack Lane.
"I think it's a great idea, it's a confidence boost," she said.
She said it was a shame her image had to be cropped to fit the banner.
"It was taken in landscape and they printed it in portrait, it doesn't really show what I was going for," she said.
Logan City Council's Hidden Gems photo competition attracted more than 1000 entries in four categories.
The images have been used across a range of council's marketing materials including a glossy coffee table book.
The banners are being rolled out across the city as part of the City of Logan Pride marketing campaign, launched last October.
