AS some recent year 12 graduates sweat on the second round of tertiary offers coming out on February 5, former Hills College student Torri-Dee Garwood-Kelly is sitting pretty.
The keen student has already been offered her first preference for tertiary study, a Bachelor of Law at Griffith University.
She will begin the course at the university's Nathan campus in March.
Ms Garwood-Kelly said she had always had a keen interest in law.
"This degree is broad, and there are different paths you can take with it," she said.
"I want to be a barrister, or a police prosecutor.
"That would take a few years and require work with the police force as well, but I think I would also enjoy that."
Ms Garwood-Kelly said she was looking forward to the challenge of university, while also working two part-time jobs.
"It will be a big year," she said.
"I work at a newsagent in Mount Warren Park and as a waitress at Calamvale.
"It will be tough, but I'll be able to do it."
The first round of tertiary offers went out on January 15.
According to data from the Queensland Tertiary Admissions Centre, 86.4 per cent of applicants were offered a place in a semester one course on that date.
Health was again the most popular field of education, making up 30.8 per cent of applications for 2015.
