PAST and present members of the Jimboomba and Districts Pleasure Drivers Club gathered on Saturday to celebrate its 25th anniversary.
People from as far afield as Perth and Tasmania traveled to reunite with their former club members at its grounds on Henderson Road.
President Lex McFarlane said he was pleased to see so many make the effort to come from interstate as well as from throughout Queensland to share in the celebration.
"We even have members from other harness clubs in the region as well as three or four judges from our competition days. It's wonderful to see that support," he said.
Mr McFarlane said his strongest memories at the club over the past 25 years were the good times he had shared with many like-minded people.
"There really is something special about the club and it is the people in it that have made it what it is," he said.
"We have 27 members at the moment and although over the years people have come and gone the spirit of the club has remained the same."
One of the club's founding members, Kay Ireland, traveled from Perth for the anniversary and said she would not have missed it for anything.
"Twenty five years is a milestone I could not miss. Everyone at the club is like family and I do miss them," she said.
Ms Ireland recalled fond memories of the club's events over the past 25 years, including taking rides through the bushland at the back of the club and holding a fundraising ride from Beaudesert to Jimboomba to raise money for the Jimboomba Ambulance Station.
"My husband Jeff and I helped start the club, along with Marilyn McGregor, as there was nothing like it in Jimboomba at the time," she said.
"We had fun days once a month where we would set up courses and compete, drive through the bush and on the roads and also take twilight drives.
"We were all good friends at the club and it was a great way to meet new people."
