THE construction of a Caltex service station and two fast food restaurants at North Maclean is on track for completion on January 21.
The service station will cater for cars and trucks with one entry and two exit points on Greenbank Road.
The EvansLong development on the corner of Greenbank Road and the Mount Lindesay Highway will also house a Subway drive through restaurant and a second restaurant which is currently untenanted.
EvansLong director Dirk Long said work on the service station was proceeding exactly as planned.
"Everything's going great, were on track for completion on January 21," he said.
Division 7 Councillor Laurie Smith said the service station complex would benefit the community.
"It's been a long time coming, the plans were originally submitted back in 2008," he said.
"It gives residents a local service station for fuel, gives trucks a place to stop and rest up and will provide employment out in that neck of the woods."
