JIMBOOMBA Little Athletics member Nathanial Lovaszi won three gold medals at the first full carnival weekend of the track and field season.
Fourteen Jimboomba athletes aged five to 12 competed at the Laidley carnival at the weekend.
Competing in the under 13s age group Nathanial achieved five personal best results to win three gold medals in the 100m, 200m and long jump, as well as silver medals in the 70m and discus events.
Maddison Aitkin won the girls triple jump with a leap of 8.96 metres and picked up two bronze medals in the 100m and 200m.
Ethyn Brown, in the under 8s, placed second in the 70m, while Tristan Cross (under 12s) won bronze in triple jump and Forbes McKie placed third in 200m.
Other athletes who competed strongly for Jimboomba were Ben Croker-Slavin, Tyla Croker-Slavin, Hayden Lovaszi, Emily Cross, Nathan Cross, Phoebe McKie, Kian Seeto and Hayden and Jordan Sell.
Jimboomba was also represented at the annual Aspley pentathlon where Josii Hargreaves placed second in the under 11s age group.
NINE club records were broken during the first evening competition at Jimboomba Little Athletics on Friday.
The record-breakers included Motootna Kia, who broke the under 9s boys discus record with a throw of 24.92 metres and under 11s girls 60m hurdles competitor Jesica Draper, who completed it in 11.2 seconds.
Under 11s girls shot put competitor Alarni Kia broke the record with 10.74 metres and under 14s girls shot put competitor Talosaga Kia did the same with a 10.48 metre throw.
Camryn Newton-Smith broke the under 15s girls hurdles record in a time of 14.8 seconds and the under 15s girls high jump record with a jump of 1.45 metres.
The under 15s boys high jump record was broken by Ashley Moloney with a 1.75 metre jump, Erinn Howden broke the under 16s girls 90m hurdles record in a time of 17.1 seconds and Matthew Lenz broke the under 16s boys high jump record with a 1.72 metre jump.
