LATEST 3.30pm:
EIGHT Rural Fire Service Queensland (RFSQ) and four Queensland Parks and Wildlife Services (QPWS) crews are fighting a bushfire burning near Steele Road, Waterford Tamborine Road and Quinzeh Creek Road, Logan Village.
Crews are conducting back burning operations and monitoring the blaze.
The fire, which broke out around 12pm on Monday, is currently posing no threat to property and is contained.
A large volume of smoke can be seen in the area and residents are advised to shut windows and doors.
People who suffer from respiratory illnesses should keep medications close by.
Drivers are advised to be aware of emergency services in the area and drive to conditions.

EARLIER:
FIREFIGHTERS are battling a large blaze in the pine forest near Yarrabilba.
Four rural fire brigades, including Logan Village and Tamborine, attended the scene on Steele Road after receiving a call about 12.05pm on Monday.
Crews were still fighting to extinguish the southern side of the fire at 2pm.
The eastern side of the blaze was contained by 1.20pm, with crews back burning and using a bulldozer to create fire breaks.
The fire started on a private property.
No houses are under threat.
