The 10th annual relay for life kicked off on Saturday afternoon with 78 teams taking part.
The Cancer Council fundraising event has gone from strength to strength at Jimboomba with the small community punching above its weight in both attendance and fundraising.
Relay for Life state manager Natalie Wust congratulated the committee and all those in attendance for making Jimboomba one of the best Relays in the world.
"I think the main thing that makes it the best is that every year Jimboomba turns out," she said.
"Other Relays have their ups and downs... but it's that resilience that sets Jimboomba apart.
"It's the support that they give to each other through tough times, they see it through to the end and that's what relay is about."
Team members take turns to walk laps throughout the night, with the Relay set to come to a close at 9am Sunday.
