ABOUT 200 people helped celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Greenbank C and K with a family fete on Saturday.
Past, present and future families of the centre shared stories and a barbecue on the morning and were there to witness the opening of the centre's $30,000 Bush Tucker Garden.
Centre co-director Kylie Van Roo said it was great to have so many support the centre.
"We haven't got final figures yet but we raised a fair amount (for centre resources)," she said.
"We are very thankful for the community's support."
Cr Trevina Schwarz formally opened the new Bush Tucker Garden on the morning.
She said she had a strong personal connection with the Greenbank C and K.
"I've had history with the Greenbank C and K for almost 20 years, going back to when my niece and nephew went there in 1995 and my son went there in 2000," she said.
"There is always such a community generated from that C and K and it is extremely important."
