THE community was all aboard the Logan Village train on Sunday when thousands of people turned out for the inaugural Logan Village Music and Heritage Festival.
The festival, which came about after the success of last year's Settler's Day celebrations, attracted about 3000 people to the Logan Village Green.
Visitors relaxed to the tunes of local bands and artists who performed live music all day and also learned about the heritage of Logan Village.
There was also plenty on offer for the children including rides, a mechanical bull, cupcake decorating and face painting.
Logan Village Music and Heritage Festival committee chairman Geoff Kerkow said there was a strong sense of community spirit at the event.
"Logan Village is still a little bit country and is still known as that little country part of Logan where it all started," he said.
"It's nice to combine a fun day with an opportunity to celebrate Logan Village's heritage and it's pleasing to see so many people coming out to support it, because a lot of effort goes into organising these things."
Mr Kerkow said he hoped the festival would become a key annual event in the region.
"We want this to become the yearly event for Logan Village, to welcome Spring and to welcome everyone to Logan Village," he said.
