GREENBANK boy Jett Savas has reached the pinnacle of Cub Scout success, receiving the Grey Wolf badge at a recent ceremony.
Cub leader Anita Streat said Jett, 11, was the first Greenbank Cub to achieve this badge in the four years she has led the group.
"It's a lot of work so the kids have to be devoted," she said.
"It's just the highest badge that they can earn in cubs."
Jett joined the Cubs two years ago and began working towards his Grey Wolf badge last year.
He said wearing the Grey Wolf badge was a great honour.
"It means to be proud of yourself, of what you've achieved," he said.
Jett was required to earn four level two badges and a Gold Boomerang before he could achieve the Grey Wolf Badge.
His final and toughest challenge was to lead his fellow Cubs on a two-hour hike.
"I planned a hike to white rock, so I had to check all of the danger up there and what path to take and where to have lunch," Jett said.
Jett's mother Michelle said she was very proud of Jett's achievement.
"He will go above and beyond," she said.
"He's a good leader and a good role model."
