SEVEN Hills College students received academic honours with distinction awards at a school presentation on Friday.
Year 12 student Benjamin Lewis, Eugene Clark in year 9, Sarah Ivory in year 8 and year 7 student Lauren Turner received the award for getting A grades in all of their subjects.
Siblings Zachary (year 11), Jayron (year 9) and Chantelle Gray (year 7) also took out the school's top honours.
Awards for academic honours and quiet achievers were also given out to students from prep to year 12 at the presentation.
Principal Kevin Lynch said the mid-year awards presentation was an important way to recognise a student's academic performance as well as their effort in class.
"We have held these awards for four years now and it is a tradition that the students look forward to and strive to achieve," he said.
"Recognising academic effort and achievement before the end of the year gives the students feedback and a bit of motivation to keep doing well."
Benjamin said he had never been a straight A student and it had taken a lot of hard work to achieve academic honours with distinction this year.
"Every year I have thought 'maybe this year I can do it' and now I have," he said.
"I have had to put in a lot of time studying every night, while trying to juggle having a job, a girlfriend and being school captain."
