SPARKLING tiaras and snappy bow ties will be the order of the night at the Jimboomba Cancer Council's (JCC) Daffodil Ball next month.
The Cancer Council Queensland fundraiser will be on August 23 at Emmaus College in Jimboomba.
Guests will be treated to a buffet-style meal including a dessert bar and can dance the night away to live music from Radio Club Band.
JCC chairwoman Angela Fischer said she hoped to have about 300 people at the ball.
"Everyone in the community is welcome to come and take part in a great night out while raising much needed funds for the Cancer Council," she said.
"It is also a great reason to dress up and don a bow tie or tiara - how often do you get to wear one of those?"
This year's Daffodil Ball will be Jimboomba Cancer Council's 19th.
Ms Fischer said the ball had grown from strength to strength over that time and had raised tens of thousands of dollars for cancer patients and their families.
The ball starts at 7pm and tickets cost $75 each or $700 for a table of 10.
