EMMAUS College Relay for Life team Walking for Hope hosted a pyjama-themed trivia night on Friday.
The team raised $3400 on the night and organiser Lani Pickard said the event would not have been possible without the help of staff and parents.
"We are very passionate about raising money for this worthy cause as our small community has been affected by cancer and we've lost too many loved ones to this deadly disease," Ms Pickard said.
"We had a bigger turnout than from last year with almost 150 people braving the cold and coming out in their PJs as it was a pyjama party themed trivia night."
Ms Pickard said everyone had a great time and guests were entertained by classic rock bank Tumbleweed.
She said the team are already planning another trivia night next year.
