FOR anyone keen to improve their health and expand their skills the newly revamped Logan City Council's Live Well Logan program has plenty on offer.
Previously known as Active Logan, the program offers a variety of free and low cost activities such as gardening workshops, aqua aerobics and circus skills.
Division 9 Councillor Phil Pidgeon said he encouraged people to take advantage of the program, which runs until June next year.
"Live Well Logan builds on the success of both the Active Logan and Healthy Logan programs but offers a revitalised, expanded range of activities for all the community to enjoy," he said.
"The new-look Live Well Logan will not only see some old favourite programs return but also some new and exciting activities.
"I'm delighted to say we will be offering 30 activities across 75 sessions throughout Logan City."
Greenbank yoga instructor Jay Wilson, who is offering weekly classes as part of Live Well Logan, said she was looking forward to introducing the descriptions Pigeon Pose, Mermaid and House Warrior to those unfamiliar with yoga
Ms Wilson's classes are made up of a series of gentle poses, choreographed to music, which attendees perform while synchronising their breathing and movement.
She said the movements benefit the body in many ways, including improving sleep, posture, cardiovascular, digestive, muscular skeletal and immunity systems.
