A GREENBANK couple have became millionaires after winning division one Gold Lotto a fortnight ago with a locally-bought ticket.
The mature-aged winners plan to use their $1.29m windfall to live the dream of caravanning around Australia.
The couple are elated with the win, which will allow them to bring forward their retirement and make up for the absence of a super fund.
"It still hasn't sunk in, fair dinkum. I'm not dreaming am I," the winning woman said.
"We want to retire in the near future but there's no super fund for either of us, so this prize money means it's actually possible now."
The winning ticket was purchased from Chris' IGA in Greenbank and owner Peter Avraam said it was fantastic the money had been won by a local couple.
"It's some good news for the local area, which we all need," he said.
"It is fantastic for us within a small, local community, everyone talks, everyone is so happy.
"It has lifted the spirits of people coming in immensely."
