JIMBOOMBA Christian (JC) Family Church will come alive in a festival of local arts and crafts on Saturday, April 26 from 9am to 3pm.
The art and craft festival, now in its fifth year, is being held to raise funds for local school chaplaincy programs.
As well as art and craft stalls, the fair will also feature an art exhibition in a variety of mediums ranging from paintings and photography through to embroidery and bark art.
Entry to the fair is free and there will also be performances by local musicians, a dance performance by Fitness and Dance Studio, as well as face painting, a sausage sizzle and coffee available from the church's cafe.
Organiser Colleen McDonald said the fair, which grew every year, had been established as somewhere for local people to showcase and sell their craft and art.
"For me, it's a forum for the local community to see the work of the area's talented local artists and crafters," she said.
School chaplain Jamie Sharp said the fair would be an exciting event and he looked forward to seeing the community come together for a good cause in supporting the school chaplaincy program.
"The funds will go towards things like breakfasts at Flagstone State Community College, emergency food parcels and upcoming parents courses," he said.
Stalls at the fair are $15 and it is free to display works in the art exhibition, but there is a 20 per cent commission on any sales.
JC Family Church is on the corner of Tamborine and Merton Streets in Jimboomba. For more information phone Colleen McDonald on 5546 0630 or email arts@jcfamily.com.au
