Update: A MAN has been charged following a shooting at Chambers Flat last night.
Police will be alleged during the incident, a 36-year-old Chambers Flat woman sustained two gunshot wounds to her arm.
The woman was taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital for treatment where she remains with non life-threatening injuries.
A 38-year-old Beenleigh man has been charged with attempted murder, unlawful possession of a firearm, common assault, authority required to possess explosives (ammunition), acts intended to maim, and enter dwelling with intent.
He will appear in the Beenleigh Magistrates Court on April 14 in relation to the incident.
Earlier: A WOMAN was shot at Chambers Flat last night.
About 8.10pm, police responded to calls that a disturbance was occurring in Wendt Road, Chambers Flat.
On arrival, a woman was discovered to have suffered two significant wounds to her arm that police believe were caused by a firearm.
The woman was taken to the Princess Alexandra hospital for treatment.
A man was taken into custody at the scene and is currently assisting with enquiries.
Investigations into the incident are continuing.
